hot chocolate

So a few days back I was craving hot chocolate. It's awfully comforting in the rainy season! So I made some! Here are 2 recipes, of which I'd prefer the latter but the first is rather convenient. Adding marshmallows is optional.... but always better. Teehee.

Recipe 1
The back of my Hershey's Chocolate Flavoured Syrup bottle says 2 tablespoons with 4oz of milk. But I doubled the recipe so....... here's it.

Ingredients:
4 tbsp Hershey's Chocolate Flavoured Syrup
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk

Directions:
Heat the milk in the microwave at high for ~2 minutes or until hot. Stir in the syrup tablespoon by tablespoon. Add sugar. Add marshmallows.

Recipe 2
Adapted from Hershey's "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp HERSHEY'S Cocoa (powder)
Dash salt

1 cup milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in large mug. Heat milk in microwave at high for ~2 minutes or until hot. Gradually add hot milk to cocoa mixture in mug, stirring until well blended. Stir in vanilla. Marshmallows.

Enjoy with some cuddling and chick flicks. And Christmas tunes!
